Courtney handles construction liability cases and has experience defending general contractors and subcontractors in personal injury matters brought by construction site employees. She has extensive experience handling general litigation and defending against federal civil rights claims, particularly cases arising out of the New York City foster care system.
While earning her law degree at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, Courtney received a Student Practice Order granted by the State of New York, and she participated in the Family Court Legal Program as part of an externship with the Pace Women’s Justice Center. During this time, she obtained Orders of Protection from New York family court judges on behalf of survivors of domestic violence in Yonkers and White Plains Family Court.
In addition to her legal practice, Courtney remains a certified Legal Observers® with the National Lawyers Guild.
