Jeeil has extensive experience in domestic and international litigation. He has defended and prosecuted a broad array of commercial disputes, contractual disputes, employment cases and insurance-related cases, with emphasis on product liability matters. Jeeil represents domestic and foreign entities in various industries including insurance, home appliance, trade, banking and finance, entertainment, cosmetics, fashion, textile and restaurants.
Jeeil acts as national coordinating counsel for Korea-based home appliance manufacturers on matters involving product liability. He currently defends clients in premise liability cases in New York as well as various product liability cases throughout the United States.
Jeeil also counsels clients on a range of general legal matters including entity formation, contract negotiations, various transactions and Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) matters.
- Successfully enforced a foreign judgment and fully recovered $6.0 million for one of the largest financial institutions in Korea
- Engaged in a three-week New York State Court jury trial wherein jury rendered $3.6 million verdict—three times of the principal loss in an investment fraud case
- Successfully defended a Los Angeles-based textile company in a RICO/fraud case, and settled for less than 10 percent of the claim amount
- Successfully defended numerous cases brought by US plaintiffs against Korea-based large companies and their US subsidiaries
