Jeeil has extensive experience in domestic and international litigation. He has defended and/or prosecuted broad array of commercial disputes, contractual disputes, employment cases and insurance-related cases, in particular, product liability matters. Jeeil represents domestic and foreign entities in various industries, including insurance, home appliance, trade, banking and finance, entertainment, cosmetics, fashion and textile.
Jeeil has acted as national coordinating counsel for Korea-based home appliance manufacturers in connection with product liability matters and has been handling various product liability matters throughout the country.
Jeeil also counsels clients on a range of general legal matters, including entity formation, contract negotiations, various transactions and FBAR (Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts) matters. Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, he was a partner at a boutique law firm in New York City.
- Successfully enforced a foreign judgment and fully recovered $6 million for one of the largest financial institutions in Korea
- Engaged in a three-week New York State Court jury trial where jury rendered $3.6 million verdict—three times of the principal loss—in an investment fraud case
- Successfully defended a Los Angeles-based textile company in a RICO/fraud case and settled for less than 10% of the claim amount
- Successfully defended numerous cases brought by U.S. plaintiffs against Korea-based large companies and their U.S. subsidiaries
