Richard focuses his law practice on employment and labor law, business liability, construction liability and real estate. His work includes matters involving workplace disputes, contractor performance issues, subcontractor liability and commercial lease agreements. He also handles legal issues at the intersection of land use, development and public policy.
Prior to becoming a litigator in Utah, Richard worked in municipal government and corporate external affairs, gaining experience in labor negotiations, telecommunications, regulatory policy and economic development.
Richard sits on the board of several local and national nonprofit organizations and offers clients and colleagues a grounded perspective shaped by experience across law, government and complex organizational environments.
