Brian represents property owners, general contractors, subcontractors and sub-subcontractors in construction litigation, as well as named insureds in construction and general liability matters. He counsels business owners on complex commercial transactions and focuses his practice on construction liability, business litigation and general liability defense. Brian manages all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, handling motion practice, conducting discovery and depositions. He has prepared clients and witnesses to testify at trial, and served as first or second chair during trial proceedings.
Before joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Brian was an associate attorney at a boutique construction litigation firm in Connecticut and previously at an AmLaw 100 firm based in California, where he practiced in their construction group. Brian also has experience representing clients in franchise purchase and sale transactions with a Connecticut-based franchisor.

- Member of trial team defending a demolition contractor in Superior Court against breach of contract claims; argued that the contract did not impose upon our client the duty to dispose of several tons of PCBs from a building slated for demolition.
- Member of Mediation Team representing a franchise development agent in a breach of contract claim against a franchisor seeking to execute and effectuate a purchase and sale transaction of the franchise development agent’s assets to a third party.
- Member of trial team representing a franchise development agent in a breach of contract claim against a subcontractor seeking to terminate the subcontractor and thereby execute and effectuate the purchase and sale of the franchisor’s assets to a third party in a deal valued at over $17 million.
