Megan brings more than a decade of legal experience to Litchfield Cavo LLP’s Chicago office with a career in public interest law representing indigent clients in high-stakes proceedings. Her practice centers on trial advocacy, motion practice, evidentiary hearings and strategic case development in complex matters involving multiple parties and significant factual records. Megan delivers disciplined trial skills and strong written advocacy to litigation matters.

Megan served as both attorney and Guardian ad Litem with the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian where she advocated for children in complex child protection proceedings and represented their best interests. In this role, she litigated cases through adjudication and termination proceedings. Previously, Megan spent more than six years as a trial attorney at the McHenry County Public Defender’s Office where she advanced to senior assistant public defender. During this time, she maintained a demanding litigation docket and handled trials, dispositive motions and negotiations while representing clients in adversarial proceedings from case initiation through resolution.
