Andre focuses his law practice on construction liability. He has experience representing architects and engineers, contractors and construction management firms, and expeditors in matters involving private residential development and municipal projects ranging from infrastructure improvements, bicycle lanes, and juvenile detention centers. Andre has also represented clients against Department of Buildings violations such as work without a permit, work contrary to approved design plans, failure to provide pedestrian protection, and failure to comply with a commissioner’s order.
Andre has extensive experience representing large and small businesses, independent and corporate contractors, construction managers and private property owners involved in high-exposure claims. He has served as lead and support defense attorney for premises liability matters against allegations for failure to comply with federal accessibility standards under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Andre has additional experience representing property owners, independent restaurants and franchisee restaurants in federal court, and collaborating with accountants, architects and engineers to analyze extensive payroll records, cost estimates, and architectural feasibility studies.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Andre worked at a boutique law firm where he focused his practice on building violations and complex civil litigation in federal, state and administrative courts.
