James P. Ryan

James focuses his practice on general liability and insurance defense. He represents businesses in litigation and negotiation with a strict attention to detail.

Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, James worked at a national creditor’s rights firm where he represented large nationwide lenders in district and superior courts throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

While earning his law degree at Roger Williams University School of Law, James drafted pleadings and motions in contested divorce and child custody matters as a law clerk for a New York family law firm. Previously, he completed a judicial externship at the Rhode Island Superior Court where he provided research memos and aided in drafting decisions for an associate justice assigned to the business calendar.
