John has more than 18 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation cases in federal and state courts. He is a former public defender with extensive trial experience and a proven record of receiving favorable decisions and outcomes at the pre-suit, mediation, trial and appellate levels.

John concentrates his law practice in representing insurers in complex insurance coverage litigation including environmental, intellectual property, uninsured and underinsured motorists claims, and bad faith actions, and regularly advises clients on similar claims handling and best practices. John has additional experience handling professional liability, personal injury, real estate and condominium property claims as well as Fair Credit Reporting Act matters.

Practices

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of our insurance company client against a construction contractor that argued it was an additional insured under our client’s policy issued to its insured; our attorneys argued that the contractor and its insurer could not meet the requirements of our client’s policy, and the court granted our motion.
  • Obtained motion to dismiss on behalf of our real estate broker and agency clients in a professional liability matter wherein our attorneys argued that Plaintiff’s complaint did not state a claim against our clients; the court agreed and granted dismissal in favor of our clients.
