Abbye concentrates her practice in the area of construction liability and has experience handling all phases of litigation, including drafting pre-trial motions, conducting discovery and routinely appearing in court. She has a wealth of experience litigating matters that include premises liability, New York Labor Law, motor vehicle accidents and insurance coverage.
Abbye served for several years as a special master and principal law clerk in New York State Supreme Court. In this capacity, she conferenced cases, drafted decisions on motions and supported judges with handling trials. Abbye was previously awarded a post-graduate fellowship with the Honorable James E. d’Auguste for whom she subsequently clerked.
While earning her Juris Doctor from Cardozo Law School, she was an articles editor of the Cardozo Law Review.
In addition to her legal practice, she serves as a small claims arbitrator in New York City Civil Court.
