Practices

  • Drafted petition for writ of mandamus for action involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that resulted in decision that owners of public accommodations could not bring third-party indemnity claims against architects and ADA consultants for their own ADA violations; all claims against our consultant client were dismissed with prejudice.
  • Drafted petition for writ of mandamus on behalf of architect client in wrongful death/construction defect action that resulted in decision that actions involving construction defects against design professionals that are filed without a certificate of merit are void ab initio and without legal effect; all claims against our client were dismissed for lack of certificate of merit.
  • Represented plumbing company client in Nevada’s largest class action lawsuit that involved an estimated 40,000 homes wherein our attorney appeared at depositions; drafted motions, motions in limine and comprehensive status letters to carrier; prepared for trial; and, reached a favorable settlement on behalf of our client after numerous mediations and settlement conferences.
