Theodore focuses his insurance defense practice on general liability defense and coverage-related counseling, representing insurers and insureds in liability matters that frequently involve coverage and risk-transfer issues. He handles claims involving negligence, premises liability and contract-based allegations for business clients and property owners. Theodore also assists with coverage evaluations, including analyzing commercial general liability and property policies, advising on risk allocation and policy interpretation. His experience also includes commercial tenant harassment, cooperative bylaw disputes and preparing commercial lease agreements.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Theodore’s real estate litigation experience included representing clients in New York housing, supreme and appellate court. During this time, he handled warranty of habitability and administrative enforcement cases, and worked on agency-related proceedings before the New York City Loft Board. Theodore’s experience includes an internship with the New York City Council Legislative Division, where he drafted legislation and gained municipal legislation and policy experience.
